Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Officers in the Indian Navy involves the Following steps:
- Shortlistin g of Applications: Candidates will be short-listed based on normalized mark’s obtained from their qualifying degree. For BE/B.Tech, marks till the fifth semester will be considered.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidate”s will be informed via email or SMS. They must undergo a rigorous Service Selection Board (SSB) interview, which is tests both mental and physical aptitude.
- Medical Examination: Candidate’s recommended by SSB, will be going a detailed medical examination as per Indian navy standards.
- Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks and medical Clearance.
Training
Selected candidates will Be undergoe’s training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala. The training involves rigorous physical and academic MOdules to prepare them for the responsibilities of an officer.
- Candidates will be inducted in the rank of Sub-Lieutenant.
- Only unmarried candidates are eligible for Training. Married candidates will be discharged from service.
- If a candidate voluntarily withdraws from Training, they will be required to refund the training costs.
