PM Modi leaves for Italy to attend the G7-Summit outreach session; says AI, energy, and Africa would be in emphasis.

He could meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and the British Prime Minister one-on-one in the G7-Summit,Along with Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida were at the meeting. He could also meet with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately.

“I’m glad that my first trip of this third term will be to Italy for the G-7 summit.” Before leaving New Delhi, Modi stated, “I will always remember my trip to Italy for the G20 summit in 2021.”

He will also meet one-on-one with Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who is hosting the G7 summit and related festivities.

Modi said that Meloni’s two trips to New Delhi last year were very important for making the diplomatic agenda between India and Italy more active and in-depth. As the friendship between New Delhi and Rome grows, the Prime Minister said, “We are committed to strengthening the India-Italy strategic partnership and enhancing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and Mediterranean regions.”
